Our conversation grew out of our reaction to the 60 Minutes program, Treating Depression: Is there a placebo effect? This came right on the heels of an interview I had heard on the John Gambling show discussing the out-of-control medicating of America (80% of the world’s Oxycontin consumption) and it simply raised more Charlatan Red Flags for me…as I witness members of my own family turn from God to Dawn Eagle Woman to help them with their emotional burdens and suffering…

When I was a much younger man partying with All the Young Dudes, the world was a much different place. Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter wrote Friend of the Devil, and we all danced to it because we lived in a time and place where the prevailing winds blew from the grace of God! With all of our flaws and imperfections, the leaders of our country operated within the Rule of Law and respected our Constitution. The times have changed my friends. These prevailing winds have ushered in a lawless and Godless era that has cast a very dark shadow across our land and the rest of the world. They have declared war on the virtues of faith, patriotism, the entrepreneurial spirit and capitalism itself…as they fan the flames of fear, envy and class warfare in an all-out effort to turn our once mighty Ship of Independence into one big giant Slave Ship of Fools!

You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows! If you look the other way as good people are viciously assaulted and slandered for simply speaking their conscience because their attackers subscribe, dictate or cater to your special interest then you have invited evil into your heart…which brings us back to the Charlatans.

There is a term I’ve heard a lot of lately, the unintended consequences…which usually follows some discussion about bills voted into law without having been read. Imagine that! They say a rising tide lifts all boats…unless of course it brings the tsunami of so-called unintended consequences guaranteed to sink them!

In 1967 the House Ways & Means Committee predicted that Medicare Costs would be at $12 Billion in 1990. The actual 1990 Medicare Cost was $110 Billion. Today it is over $ 314 Billion per year! The government’s own estimate was off by 816%!

Question- What comfort does that fact give us with regard to their estimates on the cost of Obamacare?

Answer- Obamacare isn’t even out of the gate yet, and already the CBO estimates the cost at over $2 Trillion. It was $800 Billion when they forced the medicine upon us in the first place!

The Laws of Economics are being violated and corrupted with the same careless caution- to-the-wind zeal they are using to dismiss Natural Law itself…out of “necessity”! There is any number of parts that one can remove from one’s car without impeding the car’s ability to run. The carburetor or its modern-day equivalent is not one of them! The Dollar Bill is an American history lesson unto itself. Your child and mine would fail it miserably! I think that borders on fascinating!

Today’s Tune-up is dedicated to my Friend Ron who is scheduled for open-heart surgery tomorrow. I ask any and all of you reading to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

                                                     THE SPIRIT OF WAR!

The saddest thing in life is to see someone you knew as a friend long, long ago…who has succumbed to the ravages of drug and alcohol addiction! The person you fondly remember as the life of the party, always upbeat and full of the zest of life…now stands before you as a literal empty shell of his or her former self. And the very worst part of all? It’s not the weight, or the aged complexion and rotten teeth. No, it’s their lost and vacant eyes that will haunt you in your sleep.

What if there was something you could have done or said 35 years ago that could have resulted in his or her making a life-altering phone call to someone with the right tools? I have personally, physically walked two people into 30 day treatment programs in my life, and I’m happy to say they are both very much alive in their SPIRIT today! You can see it in their eyes!

Ask any decent poker player, “Where’s the greatest tell?” The eyes! They are the direct windows to the heart and soul in any language…with absolutely no need for translation or interpretation. Something much less commonly known…

There exists a measuring device…a caliper that measures a person’s energy frequency. Our spiritual energies resonate in low to high frequencies…often associated with negative and positive. The higher frequencies reflect the more subtle ethereal qualities of light and divine nature. The lower frequencies settle in to the darker more earth-bound forms. The caliper would register mostly lower readings in the midst of next month’s St. Patty’s Day Parade, and would register much higher readings among the Monks of Mt. Athos. The high resonance from the prayer-focused spirit of a practicing Mt. Athos Monk would counterbalance the collective lower resonance from the people in the village below. The divine quality of the avatars among us hold the world in…or out of balance. It has been said that Christ alone held the collective energy of mankind in balance when he was among us.

We each have a caliper of sorts in our own heart. We engage it every time we meet someone whether consciously or not. Be conscious of it the next time you are introduced to someone. When you shake their hand (firmly), look them directly into their eyes…and not only will you feel your inner caliper engage, it will give you a read-out!

Now, I will share with you…because I have been doing this for some time…WE have become that friend from 35 years ago who desperately needs to make that call. Wars are won and lost in increments! The Spirit of Man is won and lost in increments. You go into any public place today, tomorrow and the next day…and make eye-contact…on the elevator, on the train, on the bus…at the traffic light. Read deep beyond the bluff we all put up as window treatment! You will see it, the fear…anxiety and hopelessness of knowing;

A)     You have a very bad hand!

B)     You know they know you have a very bad hand!

How many of us let others worry about the fire…until it reaches our next-door neighbor’s house? It’s kind of like getting into debt…incrementally, as it grows you lose something of yourself…a little more and a little more each day, until one day you are hopelessly in over your head…the fire is out of control!

We must be that friend to ourselves now and splash the cold fresh water of reality onto our faces and smell the smoke of smoldering lies and treachery beyond anything most of us could have ever imagined. From coast to coast America is finally beginning to wake up to the call many of us have been sounding since 2008!

You cannot live in both!  “Halftime in America” was great pretending by one of the greatest pretenders of all time! They end up investing so much of themselves in the illusion, it becomes their reality. Elvis actually became a badge-wearing, gun-carrying “Special Deputy” Narc for Nixon. Sir Paul McCartney and his All Star Knights have become the out-of-touch Minstrels in the Court of King Obama! This is the fool Lennon found it so hard to suffer!! He lectures us about our President without the experience of living in America! Who does that?? Who but the ultimate Fool on the Hill could have the temerity to begrudge the slave for despising the master!

Forget the fact that the commercial fits perfectly into Obama’s Re-Election Campaign Themes. The “feel good” illusion of Halftime in America is created by selling the lie that we are a team that simply needs to come together to overcome an enemy or adversity outside of ourselves…when in reality, we are being systematically destroyed from within. If you lived in America, you would know this. From the lofty towers in Eastwood Land you are just too removed to have a clue! This is what happens to that part of us that gets its news from Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert! There are the Royal Elites of Eastwood Land, the Legions of the Lost who worship them and then…there is rest of America!

So, in reality Halftime in America is no different from any other Eastwood film…it is manufactured illusion, in this case tax-payer funded propaganda! Had they named it Halftime in Eastwood Land and financed it themselves, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

But if you must make a film about the experience of real Americans living in America using the metaphor of our most popular sport, then it’s only fair to share the playbook with “the world that’s going to hear the roar of our engines.”

• Make unknown community organizer the quarterback.
• Alienate your allies and appease your enemies.
• Embrace Marxist/Alinsky tactics of Class Warfare & Wealth Redistribution to turn the teammates against each other.
• Control the Media and Pop Culture (Eastwood Land).
• Diminish the Constitution and re-characterize Patriotism as Extremism.

• Penalize success and reward failure.

This isn’t Halftime in America…Halftime in 1917 Petrograd, maybe! Something tells me that if Coach Coughlin had employed the playbook above in the Big Game on Sunday, the Canyon of Heroes would have been a very, very, lonely and empty place yesterday!

With all due respect to the Congressman, we would have to be living in a society that respected it’s Constitution and the rule of law, for that to be the case. I think what he meant to say was that “Obamacare is revealing”.

Think about it from the opposing political perspectives. If Obamacare was what its parent claimed it to be, it would have been the mantelpiece of the 2010 Democrat Congressional re-election hopes and the centerpiece of Obama’s SOTU. Instead, it was the albatross that hung them, and the subject he avoided. From the Republican perspective, I have only one question…How come the biggest embarrassment the Democrats have ever suffered unto themselves and the American public, hasn’t been mentioned during the countless prime time opportunities of the GOP Primary Debates…hmm?

Answer- Because you can’t impose tyranny without it, at the Establishment level there is absolutely no difference between a power-hungry Democrat and a power-hungry Republican…and we’re the dumbest lumps of humanity to ever fill a couch!
