It’s the Banks Stupid!

“Because that’s where the money is!” – Willie Sutton, when asked why he robbed banks.

America, and the entire world for that matter, seems like a perpetual patient in triage! Once upon a time, we lived in a right-side-up world where we had faith in leaders who may never have been perfect, but always seemed to be the right person in the right place at the right time.

In any medical emergency triage, the very first thing the team does is prioritize…most critical to least critical, with most critical getting the immediate attention. Someone with a pulse and not breathing and then the heavy-bleeders would be in the most critical category. (Note to Nan Hayworth if you’re reading this. Emotional booboos from insensitive and mean bullies probably doesn’t make the most critical grade here!) However, what could be the more illustratively vital circulatory system to a nation and the world than its banking system?

Why is our political class triage team doing the exact opposite of what they should be doing? Why are they setting broken fingers when the patient is bleeding to death? And it’s far worse than that…they’re actually inflicting more cuts in the form of unfunded mandates, etc.! Why, Why? Because, contrary to my opening paragraph, our triage team…our leaders today are nothing more than a thoroughly corrupt Ruling Class of self-serving creeps!

It’s the Banks Stupid! This is exactly why Ron Paul, as quirky and off on certain things as he may be, is as popular as he is! He knows that if we don’t eliminate the fraud and stop the bleeding WE DIE! When I look at Chris (Country Wide Favors) Dodd, Barney (Male prostitute ring run out of his apt!) Frank, Tim (Tax Cheat) Geithner, Eric (“My People”) Holder and Barack (“We’re going to fundamentally transform America”) Obama…I realize (and I’m being deadly serious!) we would have been much better off with Willie Sutton as the head of our Triage Team!!

From your “crucial seat” on the House Financial Services Committee Congresswoman Hayworth, inquiring minds would love to know what you are doing to STOP the BLEEDING???? http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2012-19-13/ira-its-all-about-fraud-madoff-mf-global-antonin-scalia

    Speaking of Nan Hayworth…

    (*SIGH*)

Just received my weekly Megavote newsletter from Congress.org which lists our two U.S. Senator’s votes as well as Nan Hayworth’s votes. Here’s what ol’ Nan has been up to:

    1) Suspension Vote: Export-Import Bank Reauthorization –

This bill would extend the charter of the Export-Import Bank of the United States through FY 2014. It would allow the bank’s lending limit to rise incrementally to $140 billion (from $100 billion currently). HR 2072 passed under suspension of the rules, meaning the support of at least two thirds of all Members voting (in this case 282) is required for passage. The Senate will take up H.R.2072 on Monday, May 14, with a cloture vote scheduled.

    HAYWORTH VOTED “AYE”

    * Hey… what’s $100 billion… er… make that $140 billion (a 40% increase!)… in crony corporate welfare between “friends,” right? Heck… I bet Nan got quite a few campaign donations from companies which benefit!

    2) Suspension Vote: U.S.-Israel Cooperation –

This bill states that it shall be U.S. policy to deepen cooperation with Israel in a wide variety of areas, particularly regarding Israel’s “qualitative military edge” over regional rivals; to veto anti-Israel resolutions at the United Nations; and to assist Israel in ongoing negotiations on a two-state solution. The bill also extends U.S.-government-backed loan guarantees to Israel through FY 2015. HR 4133 passed under suspension of the rules, meaning the support of at least two thirds of all Members voting (in this case 276) is required for passage.

    * Now let’s see… presently the Congress (with Boehner, Hayworth and the… er… Republicans running the House) borrows approximately 43-cents out of every dollar they squan… er… spend. The “official” National Debt is what… around $17 trillion? The so-called “conservative” Ryan budget plans to balance the books by… er… 2040 or thereabouts… (*GRITTING MY TEETH*)… and ol’ Nan says, “sure… let’s tack on U.S. government (i.e. taxpayer) backed loan guarantees to… er… Israel.

    3) Sequester Replacement –

This bill cancels the automatic discretionary spending cuts instituted by last year’s debt-ceiling agreement and replaces those cuts with a different set of reductions to a variety of mandatory spending programs, as well as a reduction on the overall spending limit for all FY 2013 appropriations bills. The bill separately eliminates the cap on defense spending instituted by the debt-limit agreement to accommodate a higher level of spending in that area. The Senate is unlikely to take up this bill. The President has issued a veto threat.

    * “…by last year’s debt ceiling agreement…” Hmm… isn’t that the one ol’ Nan voted IN FAVOR of… the one ol’ Nan insisted was in the national interest…??? Hmm… funny how that works, huh?

    4) Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations, FY 2013 –

This appropriations bill provides $51.1 billion dollars in funding in FY 2013 for the departments of Commerce and Justice and other agencies such as NASA and the National Science Foundation. This funding level would be $1.8 billion less than in FY 2012 and $731 million less than the president requested for the upcoming fiscal year. The Senate Appropriations Committee approved its version of the bill on April 19, but floor time has not been scheduled. The President has threatened a veto on the House version.

    * FINALLY…! AN ACTUAL CUT…! (As proposed, at least…)

    * So… bottom line… out of four votes I agree with Nan on… er… one.

Oops! Sorry! Forgot to insert “Nan voted aye” in the #2, #3, and #4 votes.

No doubt from the context you “got” that… but it never hurts to clarify!
