The End of the Line

A funny/sad thing happened to me as I started to prepare my own “Screams & Dreams” for tomorrow. (See yesterday’s blog) I guess by seeding my mind with the intention of first exorcizing the Screams, it brought forth a startling realization that had more to do with an event that occurred in the last century…which is not only responsible for the cable feed of gratuitous sex acted out by younger and younger actors for the pleasure of our teenage daughters while we fidget uncomfortably in our own living rooms! It has ushered in our ruin!

In the middle of the night last night I realized the one event that history may very well record as the beginning of the end of America. I believe the most lethally destructive event wasn’t the birth of the Federal Reserve on Jekyll Island, the assassination of JFK or the Viet Nam War. The single most destructive event in American History was the Clinton-Lewinsky Affair…for the simple reason that it put American Society in the position of having to (in a very public way) defend immorality! The ripple effect from that Ground Zero has literally destroyed the very heart and soul of America. We are officially a Zombie Nation, and if you think I’m exaggerating in the least bit…just you wait until they pull the plug on 50 million EBT cards!

So yeah, I’ve got a great list of my 2012 Screams ready to send up the old wood stove pipe tomorrow night…from the SCOTUS Ruling on Obamacare to the November 6th election and now our Fiscal Cliff Fiasco…in every instance, the immoral contrivances of a thoroughly and immorally corrupt body of men (and women) who’ve transformed a once great Republic into a State of Arbitrary Tyranny…a lawless Oligarchy…once inspired and sustained by God, now held aloft by a printing press! We’ve been well over the only cliff that matters for some time now folks…it’s just taking a while to sink in.

So I implore my family, friends and neighbors to get a firm grasp of this reality and transfer it in your own words, your own experiences and from your own hearts in such a way as to purge it from your life once and for all. I will be burning mine and reducing it to ash and dust. What a perfect time to ring out the old and ring in the new…which sets the stage perfectly for my Dream…

“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” ~ Alexis de Tocqueville

Think of my Dream in the context of The Prodigal Son! It’s Time!

Happy New Year! 🙂

Hi Chip, For some reason I am always piqued when I hear the argument that having God removed from our Government being the root of our downfall. I have to ask. Was Ayn Rand a bad person and/or was her life in any way detrimental to the American existence? She was a staunch atheist but as staunch an anti-collectivist. I would argue that those whose minds understand natural law and the innate goodness or evil in the world are of no threat to civilization and are in fact an asset.

I would wager that almost all of our oligarchy professes some connection to some church or religion. They don’t live their lives nor do they govern, legislate, or adjudicate as though their religion guides them. I know many atheists and agnostics who are honorable and responsible and even charitable citizens. More men have been killed in the name of God through the power struggles of organized religion than perhaps any other cause. Religion has always been a means by which a powerful few have controlled the heathen masses and the amassing of wealth. That control is gained through threat of consequence of breaking the code of behavior established by whatever God laid it down. Of all religions I’ve studied, only Islam seems to be destructive if human kind by doctrine. Collectivism, though not a religion, is the other destructive force in civilization. True Communists are indeed Godless, however, Ayn Rand, a professed non-mystic, was extremely anti-communist. I often wonder what Franklin or Jefferson would have said of her had she been amongst them during the Founding. She believed in reason, capitalism, and certainly individualism with all of the freedoms and responsibilities associated. God and whichever of his religious codes we wish to follow would certainly be a good crutch by why to navigate our civilization back to a favorable course, but not THE only way. I spent 10 years living amongst Southern Baptists. They are a cult, a scary one, if one doesn’t subscribe to their very primitive system of believe. I’d rather live in Provo Utah with the Mormons! They are far more trustworthy and even Godly (moral) in dealing with outsiders than the Baptists are. In my 59 years, I’ve come to believe those who are demonstrably passionate about their religion are not to be trusted wantonly. They tend to pass judgement severely on all who have different beliefs.

I believe that Rand would have fit right in among the Franklin’s & the Jefferson’s for their commitment was not denominationally exclusive…but it was inspired by the God of Abraham and as such our Judeo-Christian roots. I have turned to the Catholic Church because of the very defects you point out. These are defects of man, not God. The sanctity and connection to God through the body of Christ as physically manifest in the Eucharist…irregardless of the mortal frailty that surrounds it…is very much intact! 🙂

  3. Philip Topps says:

Chip, you are right on all counts. We have become a superficial nation of shallow “thinkers” following the likes of talentless hacks like Justin whatever-his-name is, The slutty Kardashians, and “Dancing Withe The Morons”. What great values! Is it any wonder that a socialist empty vessel like Obama could win what amounts to a high school student organization popularity contest? Woe is us. America is over.

Chip, I believe Burnett is wrong. The atheistic Communists are responsible for far more death and suffering than the Roman Catholic crusades. I also believe that the evolutionist’s attack (started in 1859) on faith has led us (Americans) to today, where accept recreational sex among the unmarried and the slaughter of innocent human life in the womb, and recently redefinition of the God ordained covenant of marriage. The supreme court’s removal of a harmless devotional prayer in 1962 may have sealed our fate. But we still retain the ability to cut the cable (TV) and home school our children. (As a father of two married Christ loving college graduates, I can tell you that the “socialization” argument is a loser.) Almost all of the founders were God fearing men. As such there efforts were blessed. The faithless may refer to true believers faith in The Creator as a “crutch”, but as broken as the human race is, I’d say it needs one. ” God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.” -Thomas Jefferson, 1781
