It is one thing to read a story, and another to experience it. Most Americans are at least somewhat familiar with the French Revolution though I dare say you would be more than hard pressed to find a handful of us today who could explain the difference between the French Revolution and our own…or even sadder still, simply explain our own.
“The culture in the US is far coarser, far more godless and far more brutal than the culture in France in the 18th century.” History, with all her volumes vast, hath but one page. ~ Byron via Ann
And there are fewer still among us who have even heard of the Vendée. But I beg you to read this and tell me we are not about to repeat the story almost verbatim, “People who just a few short years before would have lived and fought beside the Vendeans as fellow Frenchmen and Catholics, attempted to execute a genocide against them simply because they refused to betray Christ and his Church.”
Good Sunday Morning Dear Friend. Last Sunday’s Holy Gate was a huge milestone for me and my own personal awakening. What I felt years ago in the New Earth lyric, “When you walk through that door, there is no turning back”, I actually experienced in walking through the Holy Gate. It forced me to realize the difference between channeling Truth and living it!
The Vendée 2.0
The parallels are beyond eerily similar…they’re conceptually identical. The only difference is that we, having lobotomized ourselves of the virtuous recall of our own revolution, are now hell-bent on reliving the French horror to the bloody letter!
Regime change…manchild ruler…religious persecution…mercenaries at the ready. The conditions are ripe and the exact same stakeholders are all present and accounted for my friends…ONLY the names have changed. Please, please, please watch Ann’s 17 minute video linked above and feel free to comment on any different take-away you experience…PLEASE prove me wrong…I’ll sleep better!
Virtue becomes unfashionable becomes taboo becomes targeted! Friends shed friends at the unfashionable stage. Mining company presidents erase their own past and best friends as families divide in the taboo stage. And we will turn against ourselves in the final targeting stage…guaranteed! Here, there is no morality…only survival!
How…why? “It’s the same old story, a fight for love and glory…The fundamental things apply, as time goes by.” ~ Herman Hupfeld
I have it on good authority that Herman didn’t write “Marxist” into the lyric because he couldn’t get it to rhyme with anything! 🙂
Hint ~ Think Archbishop Timothy Dolan meeting with Al Sharpton!! 😦
“The most evident mark of God’s anger, and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world, is manifest when He permits His people to fall into the hands of a clergy who are more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of ravening wolves rather than the charity and affection of devoted shepherds. They abandon the things of God to devote themselves to the things of the world and, in their saintly calling of holiness, they spend their time in profane and worldly pursuits. When God permits such things, it is a very positive proof that He is thoroughly angry with His people and is visiting His most dreadful wrath upon them.”
~ Saint John Eudes
Once upon a time we breathed the fresh air of Grace because our minds knew what our hearts needed…and our lungs happily obliged!
“Friends, if I advance, follow me! If I retreat, kill me! If I die, avenge me!” ~ Vendee General Henri de la Rochejaquelein
