On my honor, I will never betray my badge1, my integrity, my character, or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the constitution2 my community3 and the agency I serve. ~ Law Enforcement Oath of Honor
Day before yesterday, I read with my own eyes from numerous accounts that the Baltimore police had been ordered to “stand down” on the worst night of the Baltimore riots. They were ordered by their leaders not to protect and serve the people at the very time the people needed them most! Last evening, I heard with my own ears as the lips of Baltimore’s young black female State’s Attorney formed the following words; “To the people of Baltimore and demonstrators across America, I heard your call for ‘No Justice, No peace…” as she fed six of you to the very same mob that Baltimore’s young black female mayor had given “the space to destroy” only hours earlier!
We are all living in the darkest day of our lives, whether we realize it or not. Yesterday only matters to those of us who haven’t been paid for it yet. And tomorrow is in the deadly grip of radical thieves who will destroy anyone and everything that stands in their way. They have proven this in Benghazi and now in Baltimore. They have purged hundreds of the best from positions of leadership in your commands and replaced them with men and women whose allegiance to us is negated by loyalty to them. You must now decide, who it is that you will protect and serve because every single one of us is being pushed to the very same line.
Please know this in your darkest day, even as friends and family fail you as the weak-of- heart fall under the shadow; that there are truly more of us than you know who will stand with you who stand with us. You may not see us now, just as you may not see those of us in your own ranks…until the exact moment comes, but providence will place each one of us where we need to be when that hour arrives. Until then, please know how very much your service means to us and that you will be in our thoughts and prayers until that very day.
May God bless and keep you strong and true, and may he keep within us all the eternal light of Freedom as the greatest hope of all for the America we hold so dear.
