The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ December 27, 2015

IT only gets bigger...

IT only gets bigger…

Believers and Christian organizations in America are being methodically silenced through tactics of intimidation being employed by vocal, highly orchestrated anti-family, anti-faith organizations. This intense intimidation has been labeled the “spiral of silence.” Understanding the strategies of our adversaries will help us in overcoming the assaults on the freedom-loving majority of people in our nation. ~ Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel

I would add to Mat’s quote above, that there is an epidemic of blindness that precedes and makes possible the otherwise impossible “spiral of silence” in the first place. Good people with perfectly good eyes, and good brains behind them are blinded in large enough numbers by what I would suggest amounts to little more than a simple lack of understanding. I say “otherwise impossible” because a good sane people who can see, would never choose self-destruction. And yet that is exactly what the society that Mat describes above has chosen for itself. Good Sunday Morning Dear Friend.

Cui Bono?

We are all so busy talking past each other, staking out and defending positions in a world that, for all intents and purposes, seems to have gone completely mad. How is it that so many good and sane people brought up by loving parents, and raised with good values and principles, find themselves defending the indefensible on a daily basis? How do they consciously defend the unaccountability of those who hold them 100% accountable? How in the world do they find the strength of endurance to be able, as good people, to defend the liars, corrupters, usurpers, thieves and murderers, day after day after day? Answer– They don’t understand! And, as Mat himself reveals above, understanding will help to overcome the assaults that are killing everything we hold dear as Americans.

My participation in the Leadership Orange Class of 95/96 gave me, among many things, an understanding of analyzing and solving social problems by identifying and engaging all of the affected stake-holders. So, for example, if we are problem-solving in education, then it is important to have parents, students, taxpayers, government, teachers and teachers’ union (if applicable) at the table. Of course in those days, I still believed in the integrity of our Republic…just as I believed in the community of clergy, as a whole, was resolved in its purpose to protect the flock from evil. Today, I’m afraid, I have more faith in the Tooth Fairy! But my Leadership Orange experience gave me a powerful tool to take away. Years later, it would prove even more valuable when combined with another powerful tool I learned about in the Liberty Movement used by criminal-justice systems for centuries…Cui Bono? (Who Benefits?)

A criminal investigation takes a remarkable turn when we learn Cui Bono by taking a closer look at the husband of the murdered wife, to find he recently took out a million-dollar life insurance policy on his wife making himself the 100% primary beneficiary! So what if we use this stake-holder/cui bono method for taking a closer look at several different crime scenes leading us right back to the most egregious one addressed in Mat’s quote above…shall we? To keep it simple, we’ll refer to the American People themselves as “taxpayers”. I considered using the term serfs…

  • The Imposition of Common Core on Public Education

Stake-holders ~ parents, students, taxpayers, government, teachers and teachers’ union (if applicable)

Cui Bono?

  • The Imposition of the Affordable Care Act on Healthcare

Stake-holders ~ patients, doctors, insurance companies, taxpayers, government, pharmaceutical companies, medical product companies

Cui Bono?

Stake-holders ~ private companies, public companies, lawyers, taxpayers, government

Cui Bono?

  • The Imposition of Gun Control on Our 2nd Amendment Rights

Stake-holders ~ the law-enforcement community, criminals, taxpayers, government, gun and ammunition companies, lawyers

Cui Bono?

  • The Persecution of Believers and Christian Organizations in America

Stake-holders ~ Christians, clergy, church organizations, taxpayers, government, secularists, atheists, Progressives, LGBT, liberty groups

Cui Bono?

You see? You don’t have to be Columbo or Sherlock Holmes to realize the common thread has grown from the monster under our beds to develop into the all-consuming Leviathan poised to devour our entire world! The shadow of what we’ve refused to face, as anything other than splintered groups, has now grown to block the sun! So, while I have faith in Mat’s connecting understanding to help, I appreciate far more the courage it will take for us as a whole people…to finally turn around and face the beast.

HE who speaks truth declares righteousness,                                                          But a false witness deceit.                                                                                             There is one who speaks like the piercings of the sword,                                     But the tongue of the wise promotes health.                                                              The truthful lip shall be established forever,                                                             But a lying tongue is but for a moment. ~ Proverbs 12:17-19

Author’s Note ~ So as not to confuse all local government with its more regional and federal perversions. I’m fondest of the government closest to me. 🙂

  1. Who do you think this is says:

Hey man next time we speak I’ll make sure to enumerate the MANY other ‘stakeholders’ that you happen to *forget* as well as the others that *bono* from your lovely examples which are a lot less black and white than you hastily describes in less than 10 words each

Merry Christmas to all. As for the article I must agree. In business as in government there is always a bottom line. Who benefits is just common sense. One might argue that with government the people will benefit. Sounds right. Upon closer examination we see the people lose much more than they think they gain. A small child does not understand finances simply because their world is simple and they have not been educated. The same theory is applied to the public at large. Uneducated people see the government as a parent telling them what is. Once you become informed and educated you see the reality. We all know children learn of the real world as they get older. As parents we accept this as a growing stage. It is hard to lose this innocence. The government unlike a parent refuses to accept your education with regards to reality. They still wish us to behave like children. Once educated we see what is. To most political leaders today they see their power reduced and they do not wish to lose that parent like control. They are not interested in education as parents are. They want to maintain the fog of reality over all. That is not their job. It is sad many follow blindly down the path of ignorance because, well they trust them. Trust is good, but blind following is not. We are all responsible for searching for the truth. Once the truth is known we must act as a parent to ourselves and do what is best for all. Cui Bono, should be clear. Those in control must be a good parent. When a child is ready to leave the nest, falsehoods have no place. Unless you really only care about yourself!

This Post is like a breath of New Year’s fresh air. I think the reader who identifies as ” Who do you think this is” misses the main idea of the Post. The reader “Mike” gets the point of it. That point is to give your reader rational tools to further equip the reader to do his or her own examination of the issues. This is not a dissertation, nor is it a book chapter, and it is not meant to be an exhaustive examination of the issue. For that, we have to attend the “Shutupnsing Weekend Seminar.” Further, the tone suggest a seasonal message of resolution and change. That resolution is a reboot of our brain. Nice thing to do for the New Year don’t you think?

I’m still waiting for the class on political correctness “Who do you think this is” promised…I love tying our need (at ALL levels) for a reboot to New Year’s resolution!
