2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. ~ John 8:1-6
In Chapter 28 I wrote of an Atheist’s (Camille Paglia) encounter with Truth. A couple of Catholic friends prayed for her conversion as a result. I responded to them, “When we tug at the root of Truth long enough…”. Truth eventually separates us all into two basic categories of followers; those who will follow wherever it leads them, and those who will only follow it just so far. Usually, the latter’s most unfortunate end-of-the-line comes at the moment they realize that Truth will lead them to the end of themselves. If only they would have stayed on the path for one moment longer…they might have realized that the self they chose for the price of eternity was the greatest illusion of all.
We’ve had over two thousand years to study His teachings through the never-changing filter of human nature time after time after time, and we remain as insanely obstinate and predetermined to forsake our own salvation and resign ourselves to hell as ever before. We have been here before…exactly here…before.
Now before the High Priest Caiaphas. Same thing. Except Caiaphas, and the rest of the Sanhedrin, have been as their entire vocation and purpose in life, praying for the coming of the Messiah. They have been praying to Jesus (unwittingly) for Jesus (unwittingly). And Jesus has heard their prayers, and the prayers of all of the priests for generations past, and is finally, finally now standing in front of them. And remember, He loves them each personally. They look Him up and down and utterly reject Him. “No, no. You’re all wrong. You’re not what we want. We want a big macho-man king to vanquish the Romans and sit on the throne and then make us all rich by association. LOOK AT YOU. YOU’RE ALL WRONG. WE DON’T WANT YOU. Go to hell and good riddance.” Agony. This is the reality of the Incarnation. ~ Anne Barnhardt, On Being Tortured & Killed By The Person You Love Most In The World
At the temple courts, tested by the teachers and the Pharisees over the adulteress, and in final judgement before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin, the characters in the Passion Play all jockey for position. From then until now, it has always been the same play. Lots of different players on the stage, but always the same three horses in the race; survival, power and Truth. The adulteress, Caiaphas and Jesus Christ all met in the most fateful moment in human history. In spite of what we know now, we would never have bet on Truth to win at that moment in time (even His disciples were looking to take back their bets before the post), on His knees all bloodied, mocked and scourged.
When I watched the Town Hall video footage of Chris Matthews’ ferocious grilling of Donald Trump on the subject of abortion, it had a remarkable three horse fateful moment déjà vu feel for me! The unborn, Media, and Trump…survival, power, and Truth meeting again at the most fateful moment in my lifetime. Now before you reject my argument as completely absurd, please hear me out. Survival, power, and Truth in the temple court and the town hall…let’s break it down beginning with the obvious.
- Media is all about power, agreed? If Matthews is not Caiaphas, he is surely his agent-representative.
- Can we agree that the women in both the temple court and the town hall are linked by the issue of sin and survival? Violation of the 7th Commandment and survival of the sinner in the temple court. Violation of the 6th Commandment and survival of the innocent (unborn) in the town hall.
- Which bring us to the Truth. Jesus Christ was God (Truth) incarnate before the Sanhedrin. Trump was attempting to defend Truth before Matthews in the town hall.
This is our moment in time. It is ALWAYS about seeing, hearing, and feeling the voice of Truth to Power…through the constant lens of human nature. Objectively speaking, who did the Pharisees-Sanhedrin Establishment fear more than Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago? And who does the Globalist-New World Order Establishment fear more than Donald Trump today? Please tell me how the so-called Conservatives calling for Trump’s head for holding the mother accountable during the Matthews Town Hall are any different from the false mother who revealed herself by agreeing with King Solomon’s plan to divide the baby in half. Because I can hear the resounding choir of 53 plus million aborted souls shouting their un-dying support for Trump as clear as the Liberty Bell on a bright sunshiny day!
Supposing you are walking…at night, you know there is a path but it is too dark and obscure for you to see; then the moon struggles through the clouds and you see the path, a clear strip of white, straight across the hill; in a little while all is obscure again, but you have seen the path and you know the way to go. ~ Oswald Chambers
This is the ultimate déjà vu of me and you. The same dark and obscured path to same temple court featuring the same corrupt players. Truth is every bit as bloodied, mocked, and scourged today as it was more than 2,000 years ago. Archbishop Dolan and Pope Francis have more in common with Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran and Jimmie Hoffa, than the shepherds they pretend to be. They hustle for the Mob, the Pharisees of the day…all one and the same. As Trump himself quoted on this very day, “They want to knock out the outsider. They want to keep their little party going.” I guess the question for me and you remains, the same as it ever was…will we get fooled again?
