The University of Notre Dame’s Betrayal of Christ!

Please allow me to introduce myself

Well, I did promise to Roll Back the Stone every Tuesday…I should have warned you that this one is the size of Mt. Rushmore! From the glory days of Knute Rockne’s Fighting Irish and the Four Horsemen to the modern-day Rudy, Notre Dame has held a place in the hearts and minds of America…a sacred place that has both conjured and inspired the very spirit of America like no other! If this is the image you wish to preserve at ALL costs, then I suggest you read no further.

When you Google the name Father Ted Hesburgh, you will find the link to his site which reads, “God, Country, Notre Dame”! A tour of the Story of Father Hesburgh paints a loving portrait of one of God’s most devoted shepherds. Brace yourself my friend!

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of Silver and then, consumed by guilt, he hung himself. One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two years later, Father Hesburgh is responsible for “the largest wholesale betrayal of Catholic principles and faith in American History!” -Michael Voris.

In other words, whereas Judas betrayed Jesus while he was alive, University President Father Hesburgh and his successors Father’s Monk and Jenkins after him, all betrayed the living Christ and worse…they betrayed that which Jesus died for! In 1962 John D. Rockefeller III needed a Judas and he found him in Hesburgh. For considerably more than 30 pieces of silver, Hesburgh opened Notre Dame to Planned Parenthood and transformed the Basilica of the Sacred Heart into the Tower of Saruman!

And the rippling darkness cast its shadow in Peoria, Illinois last week in response to Bishop Daniel R. Jenky’s comments in a passionate homily of Truth delivered to a gathering of 500 at the “A Call to Catholic Men of Faith” annual conference. Here are the words which drew the serpent from the shadow~

“As Christians, we must love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, but as Christians we must also stand up for what we believe and always be ready to fight for the faith. The days in which we live now require heroic Catholicism, not casual Catholicism. We can no longer be Catholics by accident, but instead be Catholics by conviction.

Hitler and Stalin, at their better moments, would just barely tolerate some churches remaining open, but would not tolerate any competition with the state in education, social services, and health care. In clear violation of our First Amendment rights, Barack Obama — with his radical pro-abortion and extreme secularist agenda — now seems intent on following a similar path.”

Almost before he uttered his final syllable, the signatures of 90 faculty members from the University of Notre Dame were on a letter demanding Jenky’s renouncement or resignation from the University Board of Fellows…FOR DEFEENDING CHRIST! Their letter was followed by a similar action from the Chicago branch of the Anti-Defamation League…and, the best yet…wait for it…

The Americans United for Separation of Church and State has filed an IRS complaint against the local diocese charging “illegal election intervention.” An April 19:

The Internal Revenue Service should investigate the Catholic Diocese of Peoria for illegal electioneering after Bishop Daniel R. Jenky compared Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin as part of an election-year appeal, says Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

Americans United today filed a formal complaint with the IRS over Jenky’s intervention in the presidential campaign. Federal law prohibits churches and other tax-exempt nonprofits from endorsing or opposing candidates, said AU, and the bishop’s April 14 sermon amounts to an order to vote against Obama.
